My team wants to create a webform to generate leads at events. However, there may be instances, because its community marketng, that a lead may already be in our CRM. Will a webform check for duplicates when someone tries to submit the form?
If you go into the ‘settings’ tab of the webform there is an option to set how you want to check for duplicates — no dupe checking, email only, or email and name.
I generally just set it for ‘email only’ and it will merge the data from the webform with any existing contacts automatically.
