Looks like the max reminder period is 2 days; is that adjustable/configurable at all?
You want a pop up reminder more than 2 days in advance? I would think that would promote forgetting the task that far ahead rather than helping to remember.
Still, no it doesn’t go further than that but you can set emails from campaigns to go out to remind you of an upcoming task (appointment).

The user request for this is of a more manual nature. What they want:
“The idea is for the task to be added under one contact but the calendar and reminder to hit a different contact.”
I don’t think you can separate the two but you can include others in on notices about it.
