Old emails to clients saved in Outlook

Hi
How do I import old emails to my clients from Outlook into infusion soft to keep track of all our clients communications.

Thanks

Your best bet would be to install the Infusionsoft Outlook Sync plug-in, found here Keap Marketplace

Then, once you have installed and configured this, you would be able to go to previous emails and hit the sync button that will be available in outlook, after you have installed the plug-in. This will be a manual process though, of going through and hitting sync on specific emails that you would like to have synced over to the corresponding contact record, based on email address.

If you run into any issues with the Infusionsoft Outlook Sync plug-in, our support team should be able to help via chat over the holiday weekend, or via 1-866-800-0004 Ext 2, through the rest of today, and then back again on Monday after the holiday weekend.

Thanks James
I will give it a go.

Hi James

I have installed the “plug in” however my outlook is now very slow and keeps
crashing.

Just as a thought, would it be best to have this plus in installed on my
other laptop that I use less frequently. I could flag the contacts and then
use the Infusionsoft link via outlook on my other laptop to link them.

Any tips would be great.

Many thanks

Kind regards

Hm, its a bit strange that the plug-in would cause slowness, as it is a very light weight plug-in. There may be another plug-in conflicting with it, it sounds. If you plan to un-install the plug-in from this specific computer, be sure to fully close outlook, and then head to your ‘Add-Remove Programs’ in your Windows Settings and look for ‘Infusionsoft for Outlook’ to remove.

You referenced possibly installing the plug-in on a secondary machine. This should work fine, as the process of syncing emails from your contact is a manual process of opening an email, and hitting the ‘record to infusionsoft’ button.

@Jemma_Briscoe,

I have to ask because I don’t believe you say, but have you dis-abled the plugin to see what your performance would look like then? It would be a very low likelyhood that it would create a noticeable impact so I would do comparative testing (on the same system, not different systems as that would not really test anything)

Hi Team

I am unable to find out why my Infusionsoft/outlook plug in can no longer be
installed. I recently did an upgrade on outlook and now I am unable to
reinstall the plug in. I keep getting a note to unregister it however I am
able to find it anywhere in my apps. Can you please let me know what I need
to do to have this plug in back working.

I looked at help function area and there was nothing to assist with this. I
have followed all other instructions relating to reinstalling it.

Thanks

If you head to ‘Add/Remove Programs’ in your control panel, there should be a listing for Infusionsoft for Outlook in the list, if it is still installed. If it is listed, and you remove it from here, the ‘unregister’ should happen during this, giving you the ability to re-install the plug-in.

Hi James

Thanks for you email, I have followed the steps below and removed it from
the settings in the control panel. Unfortunately, when I run the
installation again its prompting me to unregister it, is there anywhere else
the “plug in” could be hiding. I am unable to reinstall the plug in.

I am lost without this function and so am keep to get this fixed ASAP.

Many thanks

Jemma

Hey Jemma,

You may want to look for it under your start menu under ‘I’ to see if the registration app is there. If not, you may want to reach out to the support team. I am no longer over at Infusionsoft so I won’t be able to get a case created, but you may need to give the chat team a holler, or, on Monday, give them a ring to look into this with you, and possibly get the info up to Advanced Support if they run into any snags.

Thanks so much for your assistance.
Regards Jemma
