There is an API limit within the system that is extremely high (see the ‘throttling’ section here);

I believe that is only incoming, though. I don’t believe outbound has a limit, but, if it did, I’m sure it would fall within these parameters.

If these are the kind of numbers you are playing with, contacting the API team may be your best bet. If you are working well under these numbers, then you should be fine, regardless.
