How to cancel a subscription for a future date

I want to schedule a subscription cancellation for a future date and still have it create invoices until that date.
I will enter the End Date, but do I leave the sub as Active, or do I change it to Inactive? If I have to leave it Active, will it change to Inactive automatically once the End Date is reached?

It should change to inactive once you hit the end date.
