Duplicate charges when order is declined

Hello everyone.

We recently had a product launch and ran into a weird billing issue.

Some users would get an error message from Infusionsoft about their order not being able to process but it would go through to Stripe.

The customer would try again and sometimes get another error message but again Stripe would process the charge.

It caused quite the headache and neither side seems to take responsibility for the issue.

Just wondering if anyone has experienced this and has a solution.

I have not yet. I also posted in a FB group to see if anyone as had this happen.

It’s weird because it never happened before and our last product launch we had over 30k in duplicate charges. Super frustrating.
