If a company gets acquired by another and there is a company name change or if a contact changes jobs and is working for a new company, how do we change either one of those things without losing the historical data?
You’re obviously aware that if you change a company assigned to a contact that there is not ‘history’ to show they were assigned the former company moving forward. The best way to have a history of this is to set notes inside campaign builder of activity that include the merge code for the current company. This way, even though the company assignment is a permanent change, the note history will be un-affected.
