Has anyone worked out a way to report on the average length of payment plans currently in place? Or if not a report, how to access the data to add it up?
You can run the Subscription Revenue Summary report. You can choose the cycle you want to measure (1 cycle, 2 cycles, 12 cycles) and it will show you the total number of subscriptions you have and the total number that have been in place for that number of cycles.
So, you can run 12, 24, 36 to see how many of your subscriptions are in place for a year, 2 years, 3 years, etc.
You can put those number on a spreadsheet and do whatever calculations you need.
Not the slickest way, but it accomplishes the job.
